So long as we’re talking about apples to apples, we’ll beat or match any written quote on a residential shingle project from another licensed contractor who is an accredited BBB member business prior to approved proposal. To be clear, the other written quote must be comparable in terms of more than just the shingles used but also GAF products, same warranty, same installation, etc. A roofing system has components that we WILL NOT sacrifice quality on just to save money or get your business. Many roofing companies will cut corners and purchase generic sub-standard products to keep prices low. The result is a roof that will not last as long and may even void the warranty on the shingles should they be lost to storm damage too easily. It’s our belief that no roof should be skimped on in such a way as to affect its integrity or longevity.
We will happily look over the competitions quote to see where they are cutting corners and advise homeowners accordingly. Customer service starts with knowledge and education.
Our Guarantee WON’T be a bad
apple by cutting corners on:
Flashing – Many roofers won’t install proper flashing to get the water to shed off a roof correctly.

The Under Cutter – If one company submits a quote that is far less than the other(s) you need to question it. Start by comparing the details of the contract – the main warning signs that this company will do a poor job include:
- No proof of license, general liability insurance, or workman’s comp. Insurance.
- No items other than shingles and labor.
- Material prices that are much lower will have generic product brands that should be avoided. Labor costs should be the biggest difference.

There are a few things to look out for when reviewing their price match guarantee, written quote, or their literature in general. Phrases/pointers that may spell “Big talker” troubles:
- Labor warranty or leak guarantee from their own company in excess of 5 years. They may not be in business when an issue pops up. 76% of us stay in the same home more than 15 years. Thus, they’re also betting you won’t be a problem. What you want to see is a realistic number like 5-year coverage on workmanship and a manufacturer’s backup of up to 30 years.
